Introduction
The following checklist is based on the faunal review of Peloridiidae by Larivière, Burckhardt & Larochelle (2011: Fauna Of New Zealand 67) and the paper by Wakelin & Larivière (2014) that recorded the presence of the Australian species Hemiodoecus leai in New Zealand.
Four genera and 14 species of peloridiids are recorded for New Zealand.
In the checklist, valid names are listed alphabetically
All New Zealand mossbugs are endemic, with the exception of Hemiodoecus leai which has probably been introduced from Tasmania.
